:: Font Description

This font was over-inked and digitized by moi, l'Abcdarienne, in 1997. It includes capitals (duh) and numbers and puncuation. Since there were no lower case letters, I repeated the capitals where the lower case goes.

I bought this set of extremely cheap rubber stamps at Pic'N'Save, and stamped them with dark blue ink. The letters in TICKET CAPITALS REPRESSED feature lighter impressions and more breaks in the impression. The letters in TICKET CAPITALS IMPRESSED feature more ink and darker impressions. Of course you aren't going to set much text with this font, but let me tell ya, these make great drop caps!

The name Ticket was partly inspired by the words ADMIT ONE floating through my brain, and also because it rhymes with Thicket and Cricket, two of my other fonts (but that's really no longer cute at all!).

Hey! Ticket lives again in rubber! See MaVinci's Reliquary:

Oh, and, there was another font-maker who made a font out of the same set of stamps; it didn't feature as much crap around the edges as mine, but it got into this really neat neotypo book. I think her name is Linda and she lives in Santa Clarita (just north of L.A.). If someone knows her, please ask her to drop me a line. Thanks!

You may distribute this font shamelessly. You may translate it to any platform, just don't change the name. You may remix it, just give me credit and let me know.
